Transportation Guidelines
The following information is intended to assist you in making any neccesary transportation arrangements for your participation in the conference and/or biblical pilgrimages before or after the conference.
Transportation from Athens Airport to the conference center will be arranged for by AMG International and will cost $35.00 per person, round trip or $20 USD for those using only one way General transportation from the airport will be provided by busses that can accommodate between 30-50 people including their luggage. A lap child will not be charged anything extra, however, any person, adult or child taking a seat will be $30.00. Buses on the days of arrival and departure will depart every, one to one and a half hours. All those who want to use the buses should meet our people in front of Kimbo café outside of Gate B at arrivals hall.
The cost will be higher if people come in and out at times that are not consistent with the beginning and ending of the conference
Therefore, we would be able to provide rides around the clock for individual arrive or depart during the conference. That is considered private transportation for participants arriving or departing not at the regular arrival and departing times of the conference, and will be $30 USD per ride if they are up to 3 people and $20,00 USD per ride if they for 4 to 8 people.
Taxis could be pick up outside of the arrival hall… they would cost approximately $50 to 60 USD each way. From 12 midnight to 6 am the prices for taxes will be double tariff. The number of people a taxi can accommodate will depend on how much luggage they have but it could be 2 to 3.All the support team members of CMDA arriving prior to the conference and departing after will be transferred with the minimum cost.
Thessoloniki International Airport to Mediterranean Palace Hotel (Pre-conference pilgrimages)
The Medditerranean Palace Hotel is approximately 10 miles from the airport. Pre-conference pilgrimage participants are responsible for their own transportation to the hotel. Taxi is the recommended means of transport. The ride will be about 20-30 minutes (depending on time of day) and will cost about 30 EUR. It is typical to find numerous taxis available on demand at the airport. Be prepared to pay in cash. Standard tip is approximately 10% and there may be a few fees not included in the metered price. Athens International Airport to/from Piraeus (for passengers with Louis Cruises)
The port of Piraeus is approximately 45 minutes by taxi from the airport. Cruise participants are responsible for their own transportation to the port. Taxi is the recommended means of transportation, costing approximately 45 EUR on demand or 60 EUR reserved. The metro is a less expensive option with trains departing every 30 minutes and stations relatively conveniently located. Athens International Airport to/from Oscar Hotel
The Oscar Hotel is in the downtown Athens area. You may catch the metro from the airport to the Larissis Station, just a few blocks from the hotel. Cost is approximately 8 EUR per person and the trip takes about 45 minutes. If you prefer, you may also take a taxi from the airport. The cost will be 35 EUR.
